Bahrain & Grand Mosque in the UAE

Overshadowed by its next-door neighbour, the UAE, the tiny island nation of Bahrain is often overlooked. I explored its sights, and although I agree there isn’t as much to see, I still found some gems!
Since I was so close, I then hopped over to the over-the-top city of Abu Dhabi. I’ve seen a million mosques in thirty years of travel, but hands down, this one is the most stunning — no competition! It’s not called the Grand Mosque for nothing. I also found the most beautiful café inside the Emirates Palace — gold cappuccino, anyone?
