MiG21 memorial to Artem Mikoyan, aircraft designer who co founded Mikoyan-Gurevich (aka MiG). Mikoyan was born in Sanahin, Armenia.

Formerly part of the USSR, Georgia gained its independence in 1991. Although it's geographically located between Europe and Asia, it's not really either. Located on the Black Sea, this country is a gem! Since it was next door, I decided to travel to Armenia as well!
