Senegal & The Gambia
June, 2026
Thought I'd hang with Randy as he worked in Senegal. With beaches and fresh seafood, it's hard to go wrong!

We also visited Gorée Island, A UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the historic House of Slaves. The island serves as a memorial to the victims of the transatlantic slave trade, for which Senegal was a major hub.

I also hopped over to neighbouring The Gambia for a few days.
There's always room for one more goat!

Saw this from the ferry to Gorèe Island. Powership Africa; a floating power plant off the coast of Senegal that generates electricity using liquified natural gas. It aims to supply a significant portion of Senegal's electricity needs.
