I'm not one to lay on the beach and do nothing, but I have to admit, this place is awesome! The Seychelles Archipelago is a group of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean that lie 1000 miles off the coast of East Africa northeast of Madagascar.
This island nation is not exactly easy to get to from, well, anywhere! The Seychelles were uninhabited before being discovered by Europeans in the early 16th century. As such, there are no indigenous people. The languages spoken are English, French and Seychellois Creole. Looking for paradise? Here it is! My time was split between the main island of Mahe and after, taking a ferry to the tiny island of La Digue where the preferred mode of transport is bike or foot.
